Feature Request: Section-Level Font Overrides in Proposals
Summary:
Allow proposal owners or administrators to define and override fonts on a per-section basis within a proposal. This enables each section (e.g., Work Description, Rationale) to use specific fonts and sizes as required by customer or organizational standards.
Problem Statement:
Currently, proposal font settings are applied uniformly, limiting the ability to format individual sections differently. Many customers and internal standards require specific fonts and sizes for particular sections (for example, one font for the Work Description and another for the Rationale). Without section-level control, users must manually adjust formatting outside the system or accept non-compliant documents, leading to inconsistent presentation and additional rework.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce section-level font configuration for proposals, accessible to the proposal owner and administrators.
Allow users to set font family, size, and basic style (bold, italic) per section (e.g., Work Description, Rationale, etc.).
Ensure that section-level settings override any global/default proposal font configuration for that section only.
Provide a clear UI to view, edit, and reset section font settings back to the proposal default.
Apply these settings consistently in all outputs where the proposal is rendered (on-screen views, exports, and printed formats).
Benefits:
Ensures compliance with customer and contractual formatting requirements.
Reduces manual post-processing of proposal documents in external tools.
Improves consistency and professionalism across proposal deliverables.
Saves time for proposal teams by streamlining formatting workflows.
