Save Report Parameters at the Template Level.

Feature Request: Save Report Parameters at the Template Level

Summary:
Allow users to define and save report parameters at the template level so that, when a new document is created from that template, all configured parameters—especially Task/Resource selections and Summary Fields—are automatically applied to the new document. This ensures consistent reporting setups and reduces repetitive configuration work.

Problem Statement:
Currently, users must reconfigure report parameters each time they generate a new document, even when those documents are based on the same underlying template. Key settings like Task/Resource selections and Summary Fields must be manually reapplied, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of inconsistencies or errors between reports that are intended to follow the same standard.

Proposed Solution:
Enable templates to store report parameter configurations, including but not limited to Task/Resource selections and Summary Fields.
When a new document is created from a template, automatically apply all saved template-level report parameters to the document’s report.
Provide an option to override or adjust these inherited parameters at the document level without changing the template defaults.
Display a clear indication within the document that its report parameters were inherited from a specific template, along with any subsequent overrides.

Benefits:
Reduces repetitive manual configuration when generating multiple reports from the same template.
Improves consistency and standardization across reports by enforcing common parameter sets.
Decreases the likelihood of configuration errors or omissions in Task/Resource selections and Summary Fields.
Saves time for users who frequently generate similar reports, improving overall efficiency and user satisfaction.
