Feature Request: Ability to stop or cancel Cost Volume processing
Summary:
Provide users with a way to stop or cancel an in-progress Cost Volume processing job so they can quickly correct inputs or configuration without waiting for the job to complete. The system should safely terminate processing and return the Cost Volume to an editable state while maintaining data integrity.
Problem Statement:
Today, once Cost Volume processing starts, users must wait for the job to run to completion before they can make any changes. If they notice an error mid-processing (for example, incorrect parameters, source data, or configuration), there is no way to interrupt the job. This leads to wasted processing time, delayed corrections, and user frustration, especially for long-running Cost Volume jobs.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a controlled cancellation capability for Cost Volume processing jobs:
- Provide a visible "Stop" or "Cancel" action for active Cost Volume jobs.
- When triggered, safely terminate the processing job and roll back any partial changes that could leave the Cost Volume in an inconsistent state.
- Return the Cost Volume to an editable status so users can immediately adjust inputs and restart processing as needed.
- Ensure that, while one Cost Volume is processing (or being cancelled), users can continue to edit other Cost Volumes in the system without interruption.
- Optionally provide status messaging/logs indicating that processing was cancelled, by whom, and at what time.

- Enables faster correction of input errors and configuration issues.
