Summary:
Enable the system to automatically calculate and roll up values across related records in the hierarchy, including deriving project values from proposal lines, contract values from projects, and program values from contracts. This feature should ensure that parent-level financial values stay current without requiring manual calculation or reconciliation.

Problem Statement:
Currently, users must manually calculate or update values at each level of the hierarchy, which is inefficient and increases the risk of errors. When proposal lines, projects, or contracts change, the corresponding parent values may become outdated or inconsistent, making it difficult to trust financial totals and maintain accurate reporting across programs.

Proposed Solution:
Automatically sum proposal line values to calculate the total value of each project.
Automatically sum project values to calculate the total value of each contract.
Automatically sum contract values to calculate the total value of each program.
Ensure that calculations update whenever underlying values change so totals remain accurate in real time or near real time.
Preserve visibility into how each total is derived so users can trace rolled-up values back to their contributing records.
Handle missing or incomplete child record data gracefully and avoid overwriting manually managed values unless the field is explicitly configured for automatic calculation.
