Feature Request: Default Pivot Grid Views for BOE Pro

Summary:
Provide a set of standard, out-of-the-box pivot grid views in BOE Pro (similar to CE default pivot items) so users can quickly analyze hours, units, costs, BOE names, and formulas without having to configure pivot layouts from scratch.

Problem Statement:
Today, users must manually build and save their own pivot configurations each time they want to analyze common BOE data slices (e.g., hours by PBS and resource, BOE names by RAM). This setup process is repetitive, time-consuming, and inconsistent across users and projects. New or occasional users often struggle to recreate the “right” views, leading to inefficiencies, inconsistent reporting, and increased support overhead.

Proposed Solution:
Introduce a library of pre-configured, system-provided pivot grid views that are available by default in BOE Pro. At a minimum, include:

• A “Hours / Units / Costs by PBS, Task, and Resource” view.

• A “BOE Names by RAM” view.

• A “Formulas by PBS, Task, and Resource” view.

• An “Additional Standard Views” category to cover other commonly used perspectives (e.g., summary roll-ups and variance views).

Key behaviors:

• Default views are available to all users without setup and are read-only templates (cannot be overwritten, but can be copied and saved as personal or project-specific variants).

• Users can easily switch between default views via a simple selector in the pivot grid UI.

• Administrators can optionally enable/disable specific default views at the workspace/project level.

• Default views are clearly labeled and discoverable, with descriptions explaining what each view shows.

Benefits:

• Reduces time spent configuring common pivot views and accelerates analysis.

• Improves consistency of reporting and data interpretation across teams and projects.

• Lowers the learning curve for new users by giving them trusted starting points.

• Decreases support requests related to “how do I build this view?” by standardizing key layouts.

• Encourages broader, more effective use of the pivot grid by making powerful analysis available with a single click.
