Feature Request: Audit Remaining Column and Submit Warning
Summary:
Add a “Remaining” column to the BOE Audit report and a validation warning during the “Submit to CE” workflow so users can quickly identify and resolve any unallocated BOE values before final submission.
Problem Statement:
Today, users can inadvertently submit BOEs to CE with unallocated values because there is no clear, consolidated view of what remains unassigned, nor any guardrail during submission. This makes it easy to miss partially allocated entries, leading to incomplete or inaccurate proposals, additional rework, and potential delays while issues are discovered and corrected downstream.
Proposed Solution:
Add a “Remaining” column to the Audit report that displays the difference between the total value and allocated value for each BOE row.
Generate this column dynamically for each BOE line item so users can quickly scan for any non‑zero Remaining values.
During the “Submit to CE” workflow, automatically validate all BOEs for non‑zero Remaining amounts.
If any BOEs have Remaining values, present a warning dialog summarizing the affected BOEs and their Remaining amounts.
In the warning dialog, allow users to either cancel submission to correct the data or proceed with submission despite Remaining values, with a clear indication of the potential risk.
Benefits:
Reduces the risk of submitting incomplete or partially allocated BOEs.
Improves proposal accuracy and overall data quality before handoff to CE.
Saves time by helping users catch and resolve allocation issues earlier in the workflow.
Provides clear, actionable feedback at the point of submission rather than relying on downstream error detection.
