Feature Request: Editable Fee Column in Estimate List
Summary:
Add an editable FEE % column to the Estimate List view that supports multi-row editing (e.g., copy/paste and fill-down) so users can efficiently update fees for filtered sets of estimates, such as all estimates associated with a specific CLIN in a proposal.
Problem Statement:
Today, users cannot easily adjust the FEE % for multiple estimates at once from the Estimate List. When a user needs to change the fee for all estimates within a specific CLIN, they must update each estimate individually. This is slow, repetitive, and increases the risk of inconsistent fees across related estimates, especially in larger proposals with many line items.
Proposed Solution:
Add a FEE % column to the Estimate List that is directly editable for each row.
Allow users to filter the Estimate List (e.g., by CLIN) and then update the FEE % for multiple rows using standard grid-style interactions, such as:
Copying a FEE % value from one cell and pasting it into multiple selected rows.
Using a fill-down mechanism to apply a FEE % value to all visible/filtered items in the column.
Ensure that edits respect any necessary validation rules (e.g., valid percentage ranges) and are applied to all affected estimates in a single operation.
Provide clear confirmation or feedback (e.g., a summary of how many estimates were updated) after bulk changes are applied.
Benefits:
Reduces the time and effort required to update fees across many estimates, especially within a single CLIN.
Improves consistency of FEE % values for related estimates, reducing the chance of configuration or data entry errors.
Supports more efficient proposal adjustments when fee strategies change late in the process.
Enhances user experience by aligning fee editing with familiar spreadsheet-like bulk-edit patterns.
I'm requesting filter editable fee field to be added to the Estimate List Report where Pricers can change the multiple fee percentages for various tasks or resources. Same thing for CLINs add an editable field.
Hi Angelica, the ability to set FEE at the Task and Resource is already available in BOE Pro. If you open the task properties or the resources, you will see a field to set the fee. However, FEE at the PBS level is not planned at this time. The PBS is a summary field in ProPricer CE and we don't support FEE at that level in ProPricer CE.
