Filter/Edit/Change CLINs in Estimate List

Feature Request: Inline CLIN Editing in Estimate List

Summary:
Enable users to edit CLIN and related task fields directly within the Estimate List, including the ability to update multiple tasks in a single screen by PBS or by Task. This streamlines maintenance of CLIN assignments and related data without requiring navigation into individual records.

Problem Statement:
Currently, users cannot efficiently update CLINs or related task fields across multiple tasks from a single view. Adjustments must be made one task at a time, which is slow, repetitive, and error-prone—especially when many tasks need to be aligned to a new CLIN, PBS mapping, or other field changes. This limitation makes it difficult to keep estimates accurate and up to date when project structures or CLIN assignments evolve.

Proposed Solution:
Enable inline editing of CLIN and selected task fields directly within the Estimate List grid.
Allow users to filter or group by PBS or Task so that related tasks can be easily identified for bulk updates.
Support multi-select of tasks (e.g., via checkboxes or shift-click) and apply a single CLIN or field value change to all selected tasks at once.
Provide validation to prevent invalid CLIN assignments (e.g., inactive CLINs or mismatched structures) and display clear error or warning messages when updates cannot be applied.
Include an optional confirmation step summarizing bulk changes before they are committed, to reduce accidental edits.

Benefits:
Reduces the time and effort required to update CLINs and related fields across many tasks.
Improves data consistency and accuracy in estimates by making bulk corrections easier to apply.
Minimizes user frustration and manual errors caused by repetitive, single-record edits.
Supports more agile updates when PBS or task structures change, keeping estimates aligned with current contract and project realities.
