Summary:
Enable the system to detect when a task’s period of performance is modified and automatically adjust any associated estimate dates that fall outside the new task period, prompting the user to confirm or modify the adjustments for a seamless update experience.

Problem Statement:
When a user changes a task’s period of performance, any existing estimate inputs that fall outside the newly defined dates must be manually reviewed and updated. This manual process is time-consuming and prone to oversight, leading to misaligned estimates, inconsistent schedules, and potential reporting inaccuracies. Users lack an efficient, guided way to realign their estimates with the updated task period.

Proposed Solution:
When a task’s period of performance is changed, the system should automatically detect all estimate inputs associated with that task that fall outside the new date range.
Prompt the user with a clear dialog summarizing which estimates are affected and recommending new dates that fall within the updated period of performance.
Provide options to:

• Automatically shift affected estimate dates to the nearest valid date within the new task period, or

• Allow the user to manually adjust or exclude specific estimates before applying changes.
  Ensure that any adjustments maintain existing relationships and dependencies where possible and provide a summary of updates applied once the process is complete.
