Feature Request: Project-level assumptions, risks, and rationale
Summary:
Enable teams to capture project-level assumptions, risks, and rationale in a dedicated area that is visible during BOE entry. This feature should provide a centralized place for critical planning context so estimates can be reviewed and understood with the appropriate background.
Problem Statement:
Currently, there is no clear, structured place to document project-level assumptions, risks, and rationale during BOE entry. As a result, important context may be scattered across meetings, notes, or informal discussions, making estimates harder to evaluate and increasing the risk of misalignment, rework, or inaccurate planning decisions.
Proposed Solution:
Add a dedicated section within the BOE entry experience for project-level assumptions, risks, and rationale.
Ensure the section is clearly visible to contributors and reviewers throughout the estimation process.
Allow teams to document key dependencies, constraints, risks, and the reasoning behind their estimates in one consistent location.
Preserve this information as part of the project record so it can be referenced during reviews, approvals, and future planning.
Benefits:
Improves estimate transparency and decision-making.
Reduces confusion caused by missing or fragmented project context.
Supports better alignment across stakeholders involved in BOE review and approval.
Creates a more consistent and auditable planning process.
