Feature Request: Strip Formatting on Paste in BOE Section
Summary:
Enable users to paste text into the BOE section without carrying over source formatting. This feature should give users a clean-text paste option, so content matches the BOE editor’s formatting standards and does not introduce inconsistent styles.
Problem Statement:
Currently, when users paste content into the BOE section, formatting from the original source may be retained. This can create inconsistent fonts, spacing, colors, and layouts within the document, making the section harder to read and maintain. It also forces users to spend extra time manually cleaning up pasted content, reducing efficiency and increasing frustration.
Proposed Solution:
Add the ability to strip formatting automatically or optionally when pasting content into the BOE section.
Ensure pasted text retains only plain text and basic structure, such as line breaks or paragraphs, without carrying over external styling.
Provide a consistent paste behavior that aligns pasted content with the BOE section’s existing formatting rules.
If needed, offer users a clear paste option such as “Paste without formatting” to give them control over how content is inserted.
Benefits:
Improves consistency and readability within the BOE section.
Reduces manual cleanup effort after pasting content from external sources.
Helps users work faster and more efficiently when creating or updating BOE content.
Prevents unwanted formatting from disrupting document structure and presentation.
