Feature Request: Simple entry form for incurred actuals in BOE Pro
Summary:
Enable BOE Pro to serve as the starting point for importing incurred actuals through a simple entry workflow. The feature should allow finance users to bring actuals into BOE Pro through ESI as well as the BOE import process, so they can filter and prepare applicable actuals before sending them to PPCE for rate application.
Problem Statement:
Currently, incurred actuals are uploaded through ProPricer CE, but this process becomes unreliable when custom fields are added in BOE Pro because the column order in CE changes. This creates extra manual effort, requires users to reorder columns before import, and increases the risk of errors. Since incurred actuals are not part of routine pricing work, users also need additional retraining each time they perform this process, which adds inefficiency and delays.
Proposed Solution:
Allow users to import incurred actuals directly into BOE Pro through ESI integration.
Support importing incurred actuals through the BOE import process.
Provide a simple entry and filtering process so finance users can identify the actuals relevant to the subject proposal before sending them to PPCE.
Ensure the workflow aligns with the existing BOE import process, so users can follow a familiar method.
Reduce dependence on manual column reordering by keeping the import structure consistent even when custom fields exist in BOE Pro.
Benefits:
Reduces manual effort required to prepare incurred actuals for upload.
Improves reliability of the import process by minimizing column-mapping issues.
Decreases training and retraining time for users who only occasionally work with incurred actuals.
Helps finance teams more efficiently filter and prepare applicable proposal actuals.
Creates a more consistent workflow between BOE Pro and ProPricer CE.
