Document Level Override for section settings

Feature Request: Global Section Settings Toggle

Summary:
Introduce the ability to manage section-level settings (such as auto-numbering) globally across an entire document, so users can turn these options on or off in a single action instead of configuring each section individually.

Problem Statement:
Currently, users must adjust section settings one section at a time. For large documents with many sections, disabling a setting like auto-numbering across the entire document becomes tedious and time-consuming. This manual process increases the likelihood of inconsistent configuration, user frustration, and errors when some sections are missed or configured incorrectly.

Proposed Solution:
Provide a global section settings control at the document level that allows users to enable or disable specific section options (e.g., auto-number sections) for all sections at once.
Allow users to apply global changes to:

  • All existing sections in the document.

  • Future sections created after the setting is changed (so new sections inherit the global configuration).
Include an option to override the global setting at the individual section level when necessary.
Offer clear feedback or a confirmation dialog summarizing the global changes to be applied (e.g., “Auto-numbering will be turned off for 42 sections”).

Benefits:
Reduces the manual effort required to manage section settings in large documents.
Improves consistency by ensuring that all sections follow the same configuration by default.
Decreases the risk of errors caused by missed or mismatched section settings.
Enhances user productivity and satisfaction by streamlining a repetitive, document-wide configuration task.
