Feature Request: ProPricer Data in Document Headers and Footers
Summary:
Enable users to insert ProPricer data fields into the header and footer of generated documents. This would allow key proposal or pricing information to appear consistently across pages, improving document clarity, traceability, and professionalism.
Problem Statement:
Currently, ProPricer data can be included within the main body of a document, but not in the header or footer. This limits users’ ability to display important information such as proposal identifiers, customer details, revision data, or pricing context in a persistent location throughout the document. As a result, users may need to manually add and maintain this information, which is inefficient and increases the risk of inconsistency or omission.
Proposed Solution:
Allow users to select and insert supported ProPricer data fields into document headers and footers.
Ensure these fields dynamically populate from the associated ProPricer data source at the time the document is generated or updated.
Support common header/footer use cases such as proposal number, project name, customer name, date, revision, and other relevant metadata.
Maintain consistent formatting and placement of inserted data across all pages where the header or footer is displayed.
Define any field or layout constraints clearly so users understand which ProPricer data elements are supported in these regions.
Benefits:
Reduces manual effort required to maintain repeating document information.
Improves consistency and accuracy of key data shown across multi-page documents.
Enhances document professionalism and usability for internal and external stakeholders.
Makes it easier for users to include important proposal context in standardized document templates.
