Replace Styles

Feature Request: Style Replacement Across Document Sections

Summary:
Enable users to replace one text style with another across an entire document or within a selected section. This would make it easy to update formatting at scale when style requirements change, without manually editing each instance.

Problem Statement:
Currently, when document style requirements change, users must update each formatted element individually. This is especially inefficient in long or highly structured documents. For example, if all Level 3 headings need to be changed to Level 4 headings, the document owner must find and update each one manually, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of missed or inconsistent formatting.

Proposed Solution:
Allow users to select a style replacement action that can be applied either to the full document or to a specific section.
Enable users to choose an existing style, such as Level 3 heading, and replace it with another style, such as Level 4 heading.
Ensure the replacement only updates formatting and does not alter the underlying text content.
Provide scope controls so users can choose between applying the change globally or only within a selected portion of the document.
Include a confirmation step or preview so users can verify the intended style changes before applying them.

Benefits:
Reduces the time required to make widespread formatting updates.
Improves consistency by ensuring style changes are applied uniformly.
Minimizes manual effort and the likelihood of missed updates.
Helps document owners respond quickly to late-stage formatting requirement changes.
