Feature Request: Font Lock Setting in Cost Volume Defaults
Summary:
Enable CV Owners to define and lock the required font family and font size from the Cost Volume Settings default tab. When enabled, this setting should enforce consistent formatting across CV sections and prevent contributors from changing font styling locally.
Problem Statement:
CVPro currently allows section contributors to apply inconsistent fonts and font sizes throughout Cost Volume sections. This creates formatting mismatches that are often discovered later in the process, leading to unnecessary rework, production delays, and reduced document quality. This issue is especially problematic when an RFP requires a specific font and font size, since contributors may be unaware of those requirements and unintentionally introduce noncompliant formatting.
Proposed Solution:
Add a font lock control to the Cost Volume Settings default tab that allows the CV Owner to select a required font family and font size for the entire Cost Volume.
When the font lock is enabled, enforce the selected font settings across all applicable CV sections.
Gray out or disable font-related controls in the ribbon for section contributors so they cannot override the locked formatting.
Ensure the locked setting applies consistently to new and existing section content where appropriate.
Make the control clearly visible to the CV Owner so they can easily enable, update, or remove the font lock as needed.
Benefits:
Improves consistency across all Cost Volume sections.
Reduces rework caused by incorrect contributor formatting.
Helps teams comply with RFP formatting requirements more reliably.
Saves production time by preventing formatting issues before final review.
Gives CV Owners greater control over document standards and submission quality.
